 What is an Engine & it's Component | Part 2 of 2

Transmission

The transmission of a car is the machinery used to transmit the power produced by an engine to the wheels. It consists of gears, shafts and other parts that allow you to change gears while driving. A transmission is the part of a car that transmits the power from the engine to the wheels. It consists of gears, shafts, and clutches.

It is a mechanical device that changes one form of power into another form more suitable for driving an automobile or other vehicle. The most common type of transmission is called a manual transmission, which uses a clutch and gearbox to change gears.

It consists of gears, shafts and other parts that allow you to change gears while driving. It also includes some type of lubrication system so that it doesn't burn up from friction with all those moving parts.

Rear Drive Shaft

Rear drive shaft is a part of the transmission that transmits the power from the engine to the rear wheels. A rear-drive axle is an axle that carries the weight of the vehicle, either on its own or as part of a suspension system.

A rear-wheel drive (RWD) vehicle is one in which the engine drives the rear wheels. The most common form of RWD is a car. The term "rear-wheel drive" can also refer to an automobile's transmission, or to a truck's or tractor's power train.

The rear drive shaft consists of a long tube that is connected to both ends of the differential and transmits torque from the differential to the wheels.

Torque Converter

The Torque Converter is a device that converts the rotational speed of the input shaft to a linear torque. It is used in automatic transmissions to take the torque of the engine and convert it into a rotational speed that is suitable for driving the car.

Torque Converters are devices that convert the rotational speed of the input shaft to a linear torque. This means that it does not change the engine's rotational speed, but instead changes its direction and causes it to spin at a lower rate. This is done by using an impeller which creates a vacuum on one side of its blades and forces fluid on the other side. The fluid then enters into what is called "the stator". The stator has slots in it which are shaped like teeth on an old-fashioned gear wheel. As this fluid enters these slots, it causes them to rotate and turn at a slower rate than they would if they were just sitting still.

Transaxle Housing

Transaxle Housing is where the gears are housed, it holds the transmission gears in place. Transaxle housing is the housing that holds transmission gears and is attached to the engine. Transaxles are found in many cars, trucks, and SUVs. The transaxle houses the differential that splits power between two driving wheels.

The axles of a car are connected to the transmission through a differential. The transmission then sends power from the engine to the axles through a drive shaft.

Transfer Case

The transfer case is a part of the transmission that splits power between two axles. Transfer Case is the part of the transmission that allows for two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Transfer Case is the part of a vehicle's transmission that allows it to have four-wheel drive instead of just two-wheel drive. Transfer Cases are usually found in trucks and Jeeps, but they can also be found in cars like the Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLA250.

A transmission is a mechanical device that transfers power from the engine to the drive wheels. Transmissions are used in both automobiles and other vehicles.

Transfer Case Adapter

A transfer case adapter is a device which converts the transmission of a vehicle to be compatible with the transfer case of another vehicle. It has two shafts which are connected to the transmission and to each axle.

Transfer case adapters are usually used in racing, where one vehicle's transmission is being swapped for another's. The adapter allows the engine to be connected to the other vehicle's drivetrain and vice versa.

Transfer Case Motor

The transfer case motor is a mechanical device that transfers torque from the engine to the transmission. It does so by splitting the engine torque into two, which are then directed to the front and rear axles of the vehicle.

The transfer case motor is located between the engine and transmission. It takes power from the engine and splits it into two, sending one to each of the front and rear axles.

Transmission Pump

Transmission pumps are fluid pumps that transfer fluid from the transmission to the different parts of the transmission. Transmission pumps are used in front wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles to transfer the power from the engine to the transmission.

The transmission pump is an important component of the car's transmission system, because it pumps hydraulic fluid through a circuit that operates the vehicle's gears.

The first car with a transmission pump was created in 1894 by George Bentley. The car had a four-speed gearbox and an engine that could generate up to 20 horsepower.

Transmission Valve Body

Transmission valves are the devices that regulate the flow of fluid or air in a transmission. It houses all of the valves that regulate fluid flow and it is what connects to the drive shaft.

A transmission valve body is a device that controls the flow of fluid from the transmission pump to the rotating gears. It is a fluid coupling device which has a set of valves and passages for controlling the flow of liquid from the pump to the gearbox. The valve body is usually located on top of or near to the pump, but it can also be found on top of or near to one of the gears.

The function of this part is to regulate how much pressure there is in relation to how much torque that needs to be applied in order for it to work properly.

Yoke/U-Joint

The yoke is a metal bar that connects the vehicle’s engine to the transmission. It transfers power from the engine to the transmission and attaches to the vehicle’s frame. The U-joint is a part of this system that allows for movement in two directions, so it can compensate for changes in angles between the engine and transmission.

A car's yoke is a metal bar that connects the vehicle's engine to its transmission. It transmits power from the engine to the transmission and attaches to the vehicle's frame. A U-joint is part of this system that allows for movement in two directions, so it can compensate for changes in angles between an engine and transmission.
